BLM Leader Now Has Purchased 4 Houses for Over Three Million, Says Any Criticism Is Racial Terrorism, Threatens Legal Action
It is always amazing; the very people who scream they want to bring this system down, the evils of capitalism, are now pulling a Bernie-type move and purchasing over $3.2 million in property and homes.
Several years ago, Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Khan-Cullors said in an interview with an obscure internet show that she and others in the organization were “trained Marxists.”
“We actually do have an ideological frame,” Cullors said. “Myself and Alicia [Garza, another BLM founder], in particular, are trained organizers.
“We are trained Marxists. We are super versed on ideological theories, and I think that what we really try to do is build a movement that could be utilized by many, many black folks.”
But things have gotten worse, with the news out on Khan-Cullors making mover $3.2 million in property purchases, criticism has started to come from within the BLM ranks.
A spokesman for the national Black Lives Matter organization suggested a New York-based Black activist who called for an independent investigation of the group’s finances is illegally using the BLM name.
Hawk Newsome, the leader of an unaffiliated organization called Black Lives Matter Greater New York, criticized BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors, a self-identified “trained Marxist,” for presenting herself as a socialist while at the same time purchasing four homes across the U.S. since 2016 for a total of $3.2 million.
“If you go around calling yourself a socialist, you have to ask how much of her own personal money is going to charitable causes,” Newsome told the New York Post on Sunday. “It’s really sad because it makes people doubt the validity of the movement and overlook the fact that it’s the people that carry this movement.”
Newsome added that “black firms and black accountants” need to audit BLM Global Network Foundation (BLM), the group that Cullors co-founded and currently leads, and “find out where the money is going.”
An outside spokesman for BLM told the Daily Caller News Foundation on Tuesday that Newsome “is not and has never been a part of the official Black Lives Matter organization, but continues to use BLM’s name even after sending him multiple cease and desist letters. Therefore, any mention of him as a leader is not factual.”
The spokesman, Sean Wherley of the communications firm We Are Rally, added: “Only BLM chapters who adhere to BLM’s principles and code of ethics are permitted to use the BLM name.”
Newsome scoffed at BLM’s suggestion that he was not permitted to use the phrase Black Lives Matter.
“So the issue has become my affiliation and not the use of funds,” Newsome told the DCNF. “Interesting.”
But there is more, to deflect criticism she is now falling back to the old tried and true tactic, claim that any criticism is based off of racism, nothing more.
Questions were raised about how the director of the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation had acquired the funds to pay for the properties, with Black sports journalist Jason Whitlock accusing her and other BLM founders of “making millions of dollars off the backs of these dead black men who they wouldn’t spit on if they were on fire and alive”.
In a separate tweet, he wrote: “There is so much hypocrisy. She’s acting like a capitalist,” and added: “She chose to live in one of the whitest places in California”.
Andy Ngo, also criticised Ms Khan-Cullors, as the latter tweeted: “Cullors identifies as a communist & advocates for the abolishment of capitalism.”
The criticism prompted the organization to release a statement on Tuesday denying paying for the properties.
But it did not stop there, they went on to say that criticism for purchasing the property is nothing but racist terrorism:
We see then they move on to the second tactic of this group, when yelling “racist” is not having the desired effect, they then scream they are being victimized, that they are nothing but martyrs for the cause.
I guess that BLM does not like it when the shoe is on the other foot, how dare someone do to them what they have done to so many.
What they really are is charlatans that are opportunist, using the cause to enrich themselves, nothing more.
0censor contacted BLM offices, tried to contact the people involved, there was no reply.
