Don Lemon Argues With Cuomo Over Censoring Trump
Last night on CNN, once more, we were witness to the total derangement the left has when dealing with Trump. This time it was Don Lemon, who while hosting Governor Cuomo got in a heated exchange over if they should not show the White House Daily Briefings live, in instead record them, then censor out everything they don’t like that Trump says.
During the transition between CNN’s “Cuomo Primetime” and “CNN Tonight” on Monday, CNN hosts Don Lemon and Chris Cuomo disagreed over whether news networks should carry the White House’s press briefings live.
Lemon said, “I’m not actually sure, if you want to be honest, that we should carry that live. I think we should run snippets. I think we should do it afterwards and get the pertinent points to the American people. Because he’s never, ever going to tell you the truth. And guess what he’s going to do? If you ask a question that is a legitimate question, and if he doesn’t like the question, he is going to say whether it’s — whether you’re being mean or not or whatever he wants to call it, he is going to say, that is a mean, nasty question. … Those press briefings have become his new ‘Apprentice.’ They’ve become his new rallies.”
Cuomo responded, “I understand the frustration with his messaging.”
Cuomo later added, “I don’t believe in censorship.”
Lemon replied that he wasn’t advocating ignoring the briefings altogether.
Cuomo then stated, “I’m saying play all of it. I want to hear everything he has to say. I want it all to be out there and I want him to be held to account. Because this isn’t BS politics right now. It’s not about nicknames. It’s not about what he can call another party.”
Much of this came after Jim Acosta was told live that CNN was fake news earlier in the day when Trump called out both him and CNN, this was not acceptable to Don Lemon, who felt that allowing Trump unfettered access was not fair.
The press is starting to become desperate is due to they can’t control what Trump is saying, but having to broadcast him live, there is no control over censorship, they can’t cut and paste, are not allowed to silence what they don’t want their audience to hear.
We are now seeing the press going into full panic mode, this virus attack, they thought it was a gift from the heavens, this would finally put the nail in the coffin of Trump’s re-election. Instead, he has not only done well, but his approval rating is also up to 60%, and his Democratic opponent? He has disappeared, is reduced to giving speeches from his basement, desperately trying to make himself relevant.
Instead of seeing Trump’s chances for re-election going up in smoke, we have seen his approval rating soaring; people see decisive leadership, something the press can’t spin because they see it in real-time, the ability to spin the news is taken away.
We can expect with the push by the left to cut off access. This may go on for a short period, and then, depending on the public’s reaction, they may curtail these briefings altogether.
In the end, the reaction from the left is showing that this is turning out not to be the boon they thought it was going to be if Trump comes out of this. We are better for it, during the summer of our economy picks back up the left knows this will ensure Trump a victory come this fall, that is something they can’t stomach.
