Ilhan Omar Pushing For GI Bill for People Who Never Served.

Ilhan Omar Pushing For GI Bill for People Who Never Served.

Ilhan and the Left are no longer able to contain their contempt of American citizens, now are turning towards those that put on the uniform to keep our nation safe, who in many cases gave their all to provide us with the right to live the American Dream.

In a move that seems to be a total disregard towards us the served in the military, she now thinks that none serving citizens should be able to access the same funds as the people who served in the military who put their lives on the line for this nation.

The G.I. bill was set up for the millions of young men who selflessly put on the uniform and fought for this nation, they watched their brothers in arms die, then were rewarded when they returned with the ability to go back to school and receive higher education.

It seems Ilhan does not recognize this, or maybe she doesn’t care, during the speech about American dead, she joked and laughed, then tried to claim she had PTSD and was suffering from it just by Trump’s actions in standing up to Iran.

The Minnesota Democrat elicited the ire of veterans and free-market supporters after sharing an AlterNet piece by Will Fischer — a Marine veteran — titled “A veteran explains why we need a new version of the G.I. Bill — for everyone.”

“Imagine what it would do for our country and those who live here if we were to take the ethos behind the original G.I. Bill and apply it to everybody — canceling all student debt and making public colleges, universities, and vocational schools tuition-free,” she tweeted Thursday, a direct quote from the piece.

Ilhan and the left that despise the military don’t realize; this bill was passed as a form of repayment. This was a payment that could never make up for the emotional scares these men and women carried from being in battle, but it could make it for it somewhat by showing that the nation recognized what these great and noble people went through.

Ilhan didn’t stop here, she went on to compare students to veterans, something that caused a backlash.

I think CamEdwards said it best,

“My dad was a WWII vet who went to Brown University on the GI Bill. He still worked as a truck driver on the side to pay for his family’s food and housing while attending school full time.

He didn’t get “free” college. He paid his way with his service to the nation.”

I know many like Ilhan disregard what our members in the military have sacrificed to allow someone like her show disdain for them, but we haven’t forgotten.

The G.I. Bill was set up by a grateful nation to the men and women, who without thought for personal safety, served selfishly to protect this great nation To act like it is a trivial thing, one that should be tossed away or used to include those who have no desire to serve, in many cases, hold those that have in contempt is a disservice to all that have put the uniform on, and a sign of disregard for those who sacrificed all.

One can only hope that not just all of America wakes up to her true feelings, but the people that voted for her will see this as well. If we had such a person represent us where I live and do and say the things she does, she would not be able even to get elected to be a dog catcher.

What manner of idiots voted this thing into office? Did she have a whole other agenda she put forth until elected? What were these people thinking? I do not understand!
